NomuPay's merchant onboarding API is designed exclusively for our reseller clients to easily onboard their merchants to the uP Platform. It is compatible with the uP Payments solution. Designed to ensure that our client’s maintain the direct relationship with their merchants, the merchant onboarding API streamlines the transfer of merchant data and documentation into the uP Platform onboarding Management System (also known as the uP POM) for risk and underwriting by the NomuPay team.

It is recommended that reseller clients review the following documentation closely to understand the foundations of our merchant onboarding API, as well as to familiarize themselves with the technical integration requirements.

The Merchant onboarding API processes merchant information and documentation using several distinct entities.

📄️ Merchant category codes

Every merchant that is onboarded to the uP Platform via the uP POM is categorised using a merchant category code (MCC).
